Scrap Fabric Baskets

I started by sorting the scraps of fabrics by color. Then I laid them on a foundation fabric, overlapping, hugging, and abutting the scraps until the entire surface was covered. Then, I placed a sheer fabric over it, and took the fabric sandwhich to the sewing machine where, using decorative stitches and contrasting color thread, I quilted the fabrics to form an entirely new  texile. 

The baskets are reversable.
