The Pages: Envelopes Reimagined

Every accordion book started with a collection of envelopes which I glued together accordion-style to create pages that unfold like a paper symphony.

Envelope pages are magical because they provide more than a surface for writing—they're pockets for tucking photos, pressed flowers, ticket stubs, even cash. Each fold holds possibility.

The Covers: Grocery Store Cardboard Meets High Fashion

Here's where sustainability meets sophistication. The sturdy covers begin as cardboard from everyday grocery boxes, such as cereal containers which are then cut to size and provide the perfect foundation for a book cover.

Then comes the transformation: designer fabric samples, rescued from their journey to the landfill, wrap each cover in textures and patterns you'd find in upscale home décor showrooms. Suddenly, a Cheerios box becomes an eco-friendly canvas for a one-of-a-kind fabric covered luxurious book that tells its own story. 

The Hours Behind the Handmade

Let's be honest: these books take time. Each demands:

• Sorting the envelopes 
• Precise cutting and folding
• Careful gluing to ensure a professional look
• Cover construction and fabric wrapping
• Final assembly and quality checks

It is that time invested in each book that makes each so meaningful.

Perfect Vessels for Timeless Messages

These accordion books are designed to hold the words that transcend time:

A mother writing to her daughter on her wedding day, filling pages with wisdom, hopes for the future, perhaps cash.
