Introducing Indigo Reflections

A Denim-Covered Journal Born from Remnants and Imagination

My latest handmade creation is a soulful journal that began with a single idea: “Why not turn those beautiful upholstery fabric samples into something meaningful?” What started as a suggestion from a friend quickly unfolded into a creative challenge to transform high-end fabric remnants into a book worthy of your thoughts, sketches, and secrets.

The cover is made from a soft, faded denim fabric sample layered with delicate lace overlays. Inside, you'll find six sturdy signatures. Five feature 12 pages each, and are machine-sewn for lasting strength. The fourth signature takes a creative turn: constructed using the accordion method of bookbinding, ten envelopes were bounded together to create pages with writing space on one side and convenient storage pockets on the other.

The journal measures 5½" x 6½" x 1½" and closes with a Velcro strap, adorned with a denim-covered button topped with a rich, deep-blue faux gemstone. Every detail was thoughtfully designed—not only to look beautiful, but to repurpose and reimagine materials that might otherwise have been discarded.

Indigo Reflections is a celebration of creativity, sustainability, and craftsmanship. It’s the perfect companion for journaling, memory-keeping, or gifting to someone who appreciates the charm of handmade, eco-conscious artistry.
